Park Home Owners Club

Evidence that Sonia McColl's Park Home Owners Justice Campaign continues to gain momentum can be found in recent Hansard reports. Hansard provides printed transcripts of Parliamentary debates and in November it referred to a debate on the issue of unscrupulous park owners, secured by Caroline Nokes MP (Romsey &Southampton North) as a direct result of Sonia McColl's petition to Parliament.

MPs discussed the request for a ‘Fit & Proper Person Test' for park owners and managers and highlighted how park home owners often cannot freely sell their homes. Those involved called for a rigorous timetable for change and committed to improving residents' rights and closing loopholes in legislation.

Park home insurance provider, Towergate Insurance, is a staunch supporter of the Justice Campaign. Park Home Account Director, Paul Baker, comments: "More and more MPs are now getting involved in the Campaign to improve legislation and protect park home owners better. Residents can do their bit too by lobbying their local MP to support change."
