The "Park Home Owners JUSTICE Campaign" would like to extend an invitation to everyone involved in the park home industry - including park owners, traders and trade bodies - to join forces with them to eradicate the rogues who are destroying the park home industry.

Following on from its recent sponsorship of Sonia McColl's Park Home Owners Justice Campaign, park home insurance provider, Towergate Insurance, is supporting her latest initiative - an e-petition to Government calling for further legislative protection for park home owners.

Evidence that Sonia McColl's Park Home Owners Justice Campaign continues to gain momentum can be found in recent Hansard reports. Hansard provides printed transcripts of Parliamentary debates and in November it referred to a debate on the issue of unscrupulous park owners, secured by Caroline Nokes MP (Romsey &Southampton North) as a direct result of Sonia McColl's petition to Parliament.

Stephen Gilbert, Lib Dem MP for St Austell and Newquay, has moved to bring in a Bill to make provisions to require site owners of park home sites to undergo a fit and proper person test; to introduce a national licensing scheme for individual owners of park home sites; and for connected purposes.

As you are aware, our Justice Campaign has been calling for and working towards getting changes in legislation. Below is an inquiry that has just been put out by the Communities and Local Government Committee with submissions invited by the 1st February 2012.

The Government has announced a new inquiry into park homes by the Communities and Local Government Committee. This is a very important development and represents an excellent opportunity for park home residents and indeed park owners to make representations about the need for changes in park home legislation, the deadline for submissions is 5.00pm on 1 February.

The first roadshow will be held in Stafford on Thursday 8 March at the Mercure Stafford South Hatherton House Hotel.
